Data Collection

EV TCO Simulator is a client-side application. All calculations are performed directly in your browser using JavaScript. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your vehicle selection, driving patterns, or cost comparisons to our servers.

Local Storage

The My Garage feature uses your browser's localStorage to save up to 5 vehicle comparisons. This data:

• Remains stored locally on your device
• Is never transmitted to external servers
• Can be cleared at any time by you
• Is not shared across browsers or devices

Cookies & Analytics

We use a consent-based cookie manager. Essential storage is always enabled for core security and app stability. Analytics and Marketing/Ads are optional and remain off until you explicitly opt in.

• Essential: Session stability, fraud prevention, and basic security features (always on)
• Analytics: GA4 and Cloudflare analytics for aggregate usage insights
• Marketing / Ads: AdSense and affiliate attribution features

In GDPR regions (EU/EEA), non-essential cookies require opt-in consent. In California (CCPA/CPRA context), you can disable Marketing/Ads to express a Do Not Sell or Share preference.

Third-Party Services

When enabled by your consent choices, we may load third-party tools such as Google Analytics and advertising/affiliate services. These providers have independent privacy practices and policies.

We do not load non-essential analytics or ad scripts before consent in regions where explicit consent is required.

No Personal Data

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information

• Vehicle identification numbers (VINs)
